geometric party inspiration

Today I had the honor of styling a bridal shower for my good friend Erin.  I was asked by her and her Matron of Honor months ago to help with the plans and jumped at the opportunity.  I have been eager to design something that would WOW her…a spunky gal, witty and strong-willed with a passion for Tokidoki, vintage hair styles, and red lipstick…a lover of good food and drink, fashion, and mid-century modern.

When I asked the bride if she had anything in mind, envisioned anything for her shower, she responded something along the lines of bright, fun, maybe a little childish.  Nothing too serious.  A ‘bitches brunch’.

Her and her fiancé’s style inspired me to think bright colors and geometric shapes.  Here are some images from the web that helped shape the party today…

This geometric rainbow garland on Weekday Carnival is what got the wheels turning.  It is awesome.  It all started with this image.

And then from there…the fabulous paper ornaments from Paper Polyhedra.  In additional to the bright colored shapes, I love the packaging…

And to add to the love, this Geometric Heart from Oleander & Palm

I am excited to share the pictures from the party…I was very pleased with the way it all turned out!  And Erin and Joe seemed happy as well!
