mini succulent planter {diy}

Happy Saturday.  Today I have a pretty mini succulent planter DIY for you that is so versatile…you can use it as a place card holder for your elegant dinner, scatter them as a centerpiece, use it as a tiny favor, or give it as a gift.  For me, I wanted to give a little token to the kids’ teachers for Thanksgiving and really liked the idea of this little gem.  It was easy to put together, didn’t break the bank, and let’s face it…how hard is it to care for a succulent, right?

I bought the votive holders at JoAnn’s using a coupon, which totaled up to about 50 cents per holder.  In most cases, you can grab these for a buck.  The rest was some craft paint, Sharpies, and the plants.  Each plant at Home Depot came with 3 to 4 in a pot.  You just gently break them up at the roots and that’s that!

They are like tiny little treasures, and really, I am happy to give a non-food item before all of the crazy holiday eating starts (or continues).  Have a great weekend!
