peach & passionfruit smoothie {guest post from Anyonita Nibbles}

Today, Anyonita from Anyonita Nibbles is here on Circus Berry sharing one of her fabulous smoothie recipes.  For anyone who has visited Circus Berry, it is no surprise that we LOVE smoothies here and enjoy them often.  I am pretty pumped to have another one to add to our repertoire.  So, without further ado…

A big hello from me to you! I’m Anyonita and I blog over on Anyonita Nibbles where I’m concerned with producing nourishing, flavorful food! But before we get to the recipe, let me tell you a bit more about me: I’m an American expat living in Manchester, England with my husband (yes, he’s British) and our mischievous toddler, Callum. I’m a stay-at-home and full-time blogger as well as the owner and baker of an international online bakeshop, specializing in French macarons, The Mighty Macaron.

There’s something satisfying about a nice cold smoothie. They’re so versatile and perfect as meal replacements or to sip just as drinks. I love how you can throw just about anything into the blender and come out with something tasty!

I’ve been on a smoothies kick all summer and this is one of my favorite ones. Using peach yogurt and fresh passionfruit, it’s full of flavor and is extremely easy to make!

More in season goodness.  I have pounds upon pounds of peaches to enjoy these days, and after grabbing my yogurt out of the fridge the other day and seeing this…I was inspired to make a pie.

yogurt-inspiration

But a peach pie.  In a smoothie.  With my favorite yogurt on the face of the planet.  Maybe I will get down to an actual pie one of these days, but for now this does the trick.  (No pie crusts to roll out…I haven’t seemed to master the pie crust yet.  One of these days.)

Peach Pie Smoothie

Three ripe peaches, pitted and chopped
1/2 cup vanilla greek yogurt
1/2 cup milk of your choice
1 cup ice cubes
dash cinnamon
3-4 Biscoff cookies or graham crackers

Blend the first ingredients to desired consistency.  Add in your cookies or grahams and pulse until coarsely chopped and mixed evenly.  Pour, sip, and share because this recipe will make 2.  If you use frozen peaches, skip the ice.

St. Paddy’s Day is almost here.  Since my kids can’t drink Guinness, I fixed up some of these sweet treats.

Smoothie_Web It may seem like a lot to do for a smoothie, but it is actually quite easy, not to mention festive.

You will mix 3 separate smoothies storing them each in a separate container.

1.  Lime Smoothie

  • 2 cups lime sherbet
  • 1 can pear nectar
  • A couple tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • Blend

2.  Orange Smoothie

  • 2 cups orange sherbet
  • 1 1/2 cups orange juice
  • Blend

3.  Vanilla Shake

  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt
  • 1 1/2 cups soy milk
  • Blend

Alternate the lime, orange, and vanilla in your glass and sip away.
